A woman with blonde hair smiling, sitting in a green office chair. She is wearing a white blouse and ripped jeans, with her hands resting on her lap. There is a white desk with an open notebook and a plant visible in the background.

Hello, I’m Melissa. I’m a wife, mother of four, animal lover, and proud Marine Corps veteran. My journey into midwifery has been anything but ordinary, but every step has led me closer to this calling of walking alongside women in one of the most sacred seasons of their lives.

From 2007–2016, I served in the United States Marine Corps as a photojournalist and public relations specialist. During that time, I had the honor of documenting Operation Iraqi Freedom during a 10-month deployment in 2009. My years in the military gave me a deep appreciation for resilience, strength, and the power of human stories - qualities that continue to shape the way I approach midwifery today.

In 2012, I felt the first pull toward birth work. Unsure about leaving behind my background in communications and marketing, I started small: working as a doula, newborn photographer, and birth photographer. With the love and encouragement of my family and community, I finally answered the call fully and began my midwifery journey in 2021.

What drew me in - and continues to inspire me - are the countless stories of women whose births left them feeling unheard or disempowered. I believe every woman deserves to know her rights, understand her options, and feel confident in her ability to birth her baby. My heart’s work is to change the way birth is experienced: to create space where women feel safe, supported, and truly in charge of their care.

My practice style is grounded in informed choice, education, and individualized care. I see pregnancy and birth as sacred, deeply personal journeys that should reflect each woman’s unique values and needs. My role is to walk alongside you offering evidence-based care, gentle guidance, and respect for your decisions, so that you can own your story and step into motherhood empowered.

A young woman with long wavy brown hair, wearing a white t-shirt, sitting in a teal chair in a bright room with a window behind her. She is smiling and has tattoos on her arm, with a stethoscope and open book on the desk behind her.

I am Macy a mom of 2, and wife, I have been married to my wonderful husband for 8 years, We are huge dog lovers with 6 and counting.

Becoming a mother is what inspired my journey into midwifery. Motherhood is the most rewarding and at times, the most challenging role there is. As a Licensed Midwife, my goal is to support mothers as they transition into this new chapter, helping them in every way I can. Every mother deserves the birth of her dreams, and I am committed to helping make that dream a reality to the best of my ability. Since childhood, I’ve always known I wanted to help people, whether as a doctor or a nurse. In 2021, I was preparing to apply to nursing school while also expecting my first son. After his birth, I realized how unprepared I felt and how deeply I wanted to support other mothers through their birthing experiences, both in and out of the hospital. Soon after, I became a certified doula and quickly realized that I was called to be a midwife, I needed to do more.

Along my journey, I gave birth to my second son! About a year and a half later, I miscarried my third son in 2024. This experience was devastating but it helped me understand the pain and resilience of the mothers I serve. I wouldn’t have made it through without the incredible support of my own birth team, who stood by me through the worst times of loss. Now, I strive to be that same presence for my clients.

My passion is creating safe, empowering spaces where mothers feel informed, supported, and confident in every decision; prenatally, during labor, and in the postpartum period. Through my apprenticeship, I’ve had the honor of attending twin births, breech births, VBACs, and many rainbow babies. I can’t wait to continue serving families through every kind of birth story
